One of my favorite ways to get protein is by baking some chicken breast and veggies! It's an easy, low effort recipe, but you get one delicious meal!
Ingredients:
Chicken breast
Vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, string beans, asparagus, etc.
Potatoes
Seasoning: salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, paprika
Lemon for flavor & garnish
Wash your hands and prepare the raw chicken carefully. You don't want to contaminate other surfaces!
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a cooking tray with either olive oil or aluminum foil.
With your hands, season the chicken by sprinkling salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and paprika over both sides. Lightly sprinkle these seasonings, as the flavor will be stronger later on!
To prep the veggies and potatoes, coat with olive oil and season with the same.
Place everything on the same tray and place in the oven for around 20 minutes.
After about 10-15 minutes, flip the veggies so they cook evenly on both sides.
Cook for about 5 more minutes or until chicken has reached a temperature of 165 degrees. If you don't have a thermometer, it's wise to check the middle for rawness, but it may be safer to leave it in a few more minutes.
When the chicken and vegetables are fully cooked, add to a plate, slice if you would like, and enjoy!
